Betty Jean Howe

Betty Jean Howe passed away on Friday, January 5, 2024 in Webster, Texas at the age of 84.

She was born April 14, 1939 in Blytheville Arkansas to John Earp and Jennie Earp.

She loved reading the Bible and sharing her faith with others.  Her favorite platform for sharing was Facebook. She hand-made about 150 jeweled Christmas ornaments.  Her kids display them on a special Christmas tree every year. Betty opened her heart and home to friends, family and those in need. She enjoyed word-search puzzles and had a passion for cooking and baking, especially Facebook recipes.  She made the best cornbread dressing in all the south.  Every year, she cooked holiday foods and desserts.  Some of her specialties were peanut brittle, peanut patties, fudge and divinity.  She loved miniature-dachshund puppies and collected chicken, peacock, dachshund and cardinal knick-knacks. Decorating for holidays and preparing gifts was always a big production. And Fox News was her favorite TV show. Most of all, she loved her family with all her heart.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents and by her brothers & sisters: Mildred Wisdom (Aunt Maude), Phyllis Elmer (Auntie), Vernell McCall (Aunt Nell), Lyndon Earp, Frank Earp, and infant brother.

She is survived by her husband, James Howe, daughter Kelly (and John) Wullschleger, granddaughter Bria Wullschleger; son Todd (and Shellie) Fulks, grandson Robert (and Nicole) Fulks, great-grand-children Skylar, Parker, Ryker; grandson Trevor Fulks; stepchildren Tina Shore, Tim Howe, Toni Morrison, Traci Scheafnocker , 27 grand & great grandchildren and families along with many loving friends.

A Visitation will be Sunday January 14, 2024 at 5:00pm to 8:00pm, Crowder Funeral Home, 1645 East Main Street, League City, Texas. The funeral service will follow on Monday January 15, 2024 at 10:30am, League City Church of Christ, 1801 E. Main St., League City, Texas.
