Alfred Magliolo Jr, 79, passed away on July 26, 2026 in Clear Lake City, TX. He was born on August 7, 1946 in Galveston, TX to Alfred and Dolores Magliolo.

Alfred is survived by his wife of 55 years, Kathleen Magliolo; daughters, Angela Magliolo (Louis Trujillo) and Anne Bednarek (Lukasz Bednarek); son, Michael Magliolo (Virginia Sherman), his brother, Jerry Magliolo (Stella Magliolo); grandchildren, Caden and Jay Bednarek and numerous family members and friends.

Alfred is preceded in death by his parents, Freddy and Dolores Magliolo; his sister, Patricia Sorensen, and her husband, David Sorensen; his niece, Lynn Magliolo.

After graduating from Ball High School in Galveston, he attended the University of Houston and received a Bachelor’s degree. Thereafter, he worked in the IT industry as a Systems Analyst for many years.

He was a loving husband and devoted father. His greatest qualities of hard work, sincerity and sense of humor were passed on to his children and grandchildren. Alfred loved participating in their activities; he spent countless hours at dance recitals, golf tournaments and softball/baseball games. He is known as, “PawPaw” to his grandsons and enjoyed listening to their stories but never missed an opportunity to share his advice.

He married the love of his life, whom he met in college, and together they shared nearly 56 wonderful years of marriage, building an unbreakable bond rooted in love, devotion, and unwavering partnership.

Alfred enjoyed sports throughout his life; especially golf, baseball, surfing, and bowling. Whether participating or watching, these were some of his favorite pastimes. He also found enjoyment in reading, gardening and had an avid interest in firearms.

A memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, July 30th, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Bernadette Church, 15500 El Camino Real Houston, TX 77062. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation to two causes that were especially meaningful to Alfred may be sent to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Wounded Warrior Project.
