Ronald “Ron” Edward Stasky

Ronald “Ron” Edward Stasky, 92, of Pearland, TX, was called home by his lord and Savior on March 23rd, 2026. He was born on July 2nd, 1933, in Houston, TX; the only child of Edward Joseph Stasky and Mary Anthony Warhol Stasky, who preceded him in death.

Ronald attended and graduated from St Thomas Catholic High School in Houston and continued on to receive his degree at the University of Houston in Industrial Engineering.

Ron’s loving wife Dorothy “Dot” preceded him in death in 2024. They courted all through college before marrying on April 19th, 1954. They shared a beautiful and blessed 70 years of marriage together.

He enlisted in the United States Navy shortly after they married; 4 years, multiple stations and a couple kids later he ended his service honorably in Oak Harbor Washington.

The family then returned to Houston where he went on to work at multiple companies including Continental Can, Uncle Bens, Grocers Supply, and Houston Popcorn.  He was always one to have some sort of side gig as well. That most of the time included the kids as additional labor. They delivered newspapers, phone books, and magazines in his spare time. He even worked many years part time at the Astrodome along with Dot selling programs and souvenirs for events.

They raised 8 kids of their own plus, many others that strolled in the door for dinner time. The door was always open… maybe even almost literally letting out all the a/c… eventually he would lock it and yell “Doors Broken” when someone would try to enter.

He was a firm believer in hard work and everyone stepping up to the plate. Eventually he retired from JH Walker Trucking in 1998, but after just a few short months at home he forced them to let him return part time. Finally giving up the commute in November 2025 at age 92, after 36 combined years of service.

In his spare time, he enjoyed playing tennis and dominos with the family, and shared a love of reading which was passed on too many of us. He was deeply spiritual and currently celebrated his faith at St Helens Catholic Church in Pearland and St John’s Catholic Church in Alvin. His kind soul and unwavering love made him the true patriarch of our family.

Ron is survived by his children, Ronald Stasky Jr, Kathleen and husband Mike Rawlings, Carol Stasky, Stephen Stasky, James Stasky, Timothy and wife Peggy Stasky, Mary Stasky and Patty Stasky, 10 grandchildren Theresa Rawling, Joel Soliz, Evan Reed, Rachel Page, Christopher Rawlings, Lucas Soliz, Cynthia Rawlings, James Stasky Jr, Jason Stasky, and Jared Stasky. As well as 6 great grandchildren, Shawn Dunford, Tiffany White, Mia Shriver, Hunter Reed, Sawyer Reed, and Holly Stasky along with all their extended families.

There will be a visitation on Tuesday, March 31st, 2026 at 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. at Crowder Funeral Home 2422 E. Broadway St Pearland, Texas 77581. The family welcomes everyone for a light meal and refreshments during the visitation. A Memorial Service will take place at 2:00 P.M. at Crowder Funeral Home.
