Her Journey

Don’t think of her as gone away

Her journey’s just begun,

Life holds so many facets

This earth is only one.

Just think of her as resting

From the sorrows and the tears

In a place of warmth and comfort

Where there are no days and years.

Think how she must be wishing

That we could know today

How nothing but our sadness

Can really pass away.

And think of her as living

In the hearts of those she touched

For nothing loved is ever lost –

And she was loved so much.

  2. I will forever remember the way she looked at me.And that last I love you she spoke to me will forever be cherished deep down in my memory imprinted in my heart. My aunt Laurie is loved and will always be loved. Now missed here on earth until we are reunited. She did a amazing job raising my cousins (her children)making memories last a life time , and I love my cousins so much.If your reading this you know that.May she rest beautifully, nothing prepares you for this kind of hurt but with family/love & God I do believe we can live for her. Understanding that we all have our own time when pain and suffering comes to an end. One day it will be our turn and in the mean time we have to do our part, make meaningful memories with our loved ones. Leaning on each other in a time of pain and sorrow. I love you aunt Laurie, until we meet again.

  4. Laurie, was a beautiful person. She was my childhood friend. We go back to the 90’s! I always thought Laurie, was the most beautiful girl in the world. I have so may child hood memories , with her, Cindy ,& Michelle . The merimon girls were a tough group of girls! I truly loved them all as family! I’m deeply sadden that she has left to soon! Her smile, laugh, and she could turn many heads. My heart goes out to her family. She will be missed dearly. I hate cancer.

  6. In losing Aunt Laurie, we are reminded how precious life and family truly are. I believe she would want us to put differences aside and support one another. Let’s stand together in love and peace.” I will forever cherish the last ‘I love you’ she gave me, and the fact that she remembered who I was. Aunt Laurie will always hold a special place in my heart. I remember the time when she almost burned my house down leaving my gas on in the middle of the night. We will miss her dearly.
