Donald (“Don”) Wayne Kostecka, 71, of Friendswood, Texas, passed away on August 7, 2025. Don was born on October 15, 1953, in Humboldt, Nebraska, to Philip Kostecka and Erma Ruth Presley.

Don is preceded in death by his parents, Philip and Erma, and his brother, Philip Ray Kostecka. He is survived by his daughter, Charlotte Kostecka; the mother of his daughter, Dana Kostecka; his nephews Scott and Travis Kostecka; and his niece April Hendry.

Raised in the Houston area, Don attended Milby High School and was a member of the Pipe Fitters Local Union 211 for over 30 years. Before retiring, Don worked for various facilities operations contractors at Johnson Space Center as an HVAC technician. He loved his family, listening to rock ‘n’ roll, and watching science and history shows. And even when he hated them, he was always rooting for the Cowboys.

Visitation will be September 6, 2025, 3 p.m. – 5 p.m. at Crowder Funeral Home, 2422 E. Broadway St., Pearland. A private family gathering will be held following visitation.
