Wayne Oliver Beall

BEALL-OLIVER WAYNE 1-22-15Wayne Oliver Beall was called home to Heaven on January 22, 2015. He was born in January 2, 1935 to Clara Amy Bonnot Beall and Charles Roy Beall. He worked for American National Insurance Company from May 1952 to January 1997. He married the love of his life, Bertha Ellen Wilderman, on June 4, 1954 in Galveston. They were married for 60 years. Wayne joined the U.S. Army in 1956 and was stationed in Fort Riley, Kansas and in Germany.  Wayne and Bertha raised Beagles which they ran in Field Trials from 1964 to 1974. Then they raised homing pigeons, racing them from 1974 to 2006. Wayne excelled at making barbeque and cooking, and shared his delicious food with neighbors and friends. He loved to play guitar and was an avid Elvis fan.  Wayne was preceded in death by his parents Clara Dinklage and Charles Beall, his sister Dorothy Chapman, his brother Charles “Bubba” Beall, and his son Bret Wayne Beall. He is survived by his wife Bertha Ellen Beall of Texas City, his sister Clara Alice Waddell Turner of Hico, Texas, his daughter-in-law Lisa Beall, and grandchildren Alesha Key and Frank Key of Woden, Texas. He leaves behind dear nieces, nephews, their spouses and children. He loved his family and will be greatly missed.  Viewing will begin at 5 p.m., and the service will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, January 26 at Crowder Funeral Home in La Marque, Texas. Burial will be Tuesday, January 27, at 2 p.m. at Simpson’s Campgrounds in Woden, Texas.

  2. Bertha, I am so sorry for the loss of Bret and now of Wayne Oliver. My heart aches for you and your family. I will always treasure the memory of the good times we had working together with you and Wayne for more than 50 years at American National. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
