Blanche Florick

Blanche Florick, 82 of Houston, passed away in the early morning on Saturday, June 20, 2020. Born on May 21, 1938 in Brooklyn, NY, Blanche was the daughter of the late Frederick and Vivian Stark. In 1982, Blanche ventured from New York and moved to Houston, TX where she called home for nearly forty years. Though a New Yorker at heart, Blanche loved all things Houston, especially the Texans.

Blanche loved her family and friends. She was proud to share stories about her kids and grandkids and introduce them to all of her friends. Blanche was always excited to have everyone together in Houston. If she wasn’t at home, you could always find her surrounded by friends at her favorite neighborhood hangout, Third Base.

She was honest, independent, and a fighter. Blanche loved animals but had a soft spot for cats. She never met a cat she didn’t like.

Blanche is survived by her four loving children Gregory and wife Rhonda Florick, Timothy and wife Pearl Florick, Sharon and husband Greg Loe and Dawn Florick; as well as nine beloved grandchildren, Regina, Christine, David, Greg, Justin, Sean, Carly, Drew, and Wren; and four adorable great grandchildren Reed, Bryson, Molly and Lucas.

A memorial visitation will be held from 5-7pm on Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at Crowder Funeral Home in Pearland, TX.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Blanche’s memory to the Houston Humane Society at 14700 ALMEDA RD., HOUSTON, TX 77053 or at www.houstonhumane.org.

  1. Blanche will be missed by everyone that had the privilege of knowing her. She was a straight shooter and never held back on her views. She was transparent and a very nice person and friend. May you Rest In Peace until we see each other again in heaven.
