Walter Hebert, 78, of Fresno, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 29th 2016.

He is preceded in death by his parents Robert Hebert Sr & Evelyn Badeaux, his son Roger Hebert, Hank Shaw (Terry), his siblings, Robert Hebert Jr, Joe Hebert, Frank Hebert, Hazel League, Buella Sanford, and Marie Zbranick.

Walter is survived by his children, Walter “Dennis” Hebert (Ava), Walter “Buck” Hebert (Diane), Dick Shaw (Dodi), Cindy Shaw Cox (Jerry), Shawn Hebert (Krystal), Jennifer Corbin, his brother Will Hebert (Norma), 14 grandchildren & 20 great-grandchildren. Walter was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to all.

Walter was born in New Iberia Louisiana to Robert O. Hebert Sr. and Evelyn Badeaux. He served in the US Army 1956-1958. He became a Lifetime member of the HLSR in 1978 and joined the Horspitality Committee in 1987. He loved his animals, the outdoors, cajun music, John Wayne, and visiting with his family and friends.

Funeral services will be held Friday, August 5, 2016 at 10:00 am at Crowder Funeral Home,

2422 East Broadway St. Pearland, Tx 77581. Graveside service will begin at 1:30 pm at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038.

Family and friends visitation to follow at Fresno Baptist Church at 4:00 pm, 4501 FM 521, Fresno, Texas 77545.

 

In lieu of Flowers, donations may be made to the Walter Hebert Funeral Donation Fund at any Wells Fargo Location.

  2. To Dennis I send my condolences for you and the rest of the family. I did not know your father, but just the lost of a father is very emotional. The angels will protect your father just like they are taken care of my husband, Ronnie. Heaven is a better place to be for your father and my husband. God bless.
