William (Bill) Hill

William (Bill) Hill, 86, passed away on February 15th in Houston, Texas.  He was born on July 10, 1937, in Moundsville, West Virginia to Isaac and Elma Hill.  Bill is survived by his daughter Patricia Estes; son-in-law Alan Estes; brother Tom Hill; grandchildren Ashleigh Liska, her husband Joseph Liska, and Matthew Estes; great grandchild Bennett Liska and numerous family members and friends.

After high school Bill joined the Air Force. During his time of service, he met his future wife Beatriz Vargas in Laredo, Texas.  After they were married, Bill earned a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from Texas Western College (now UTEP) then worked as an engineer for NASA/Johnson Space Center.  Once he retired from the Government, Bill worked for several more years as a consultant.

Bill loved the Lord Jesus Christ and lived his life accordingly.  He had a passion for golf, enjoyed going dancing with his wife and loved to play dominoes and various card games. In his later years, he would always have a book to read.

 

A Funeral Mass will be held on February 21, 2024, at 10:30 am at St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church, 3131 El Dorado Blvd., Houston, Texas. There will be a viewing at 10 am and a reception at the church following the mass. In lieu of flowers those wishing to make a memorial donation in Bill’s memory may do so to the Dementia Society of America, PO Box 600, Doylestown, PA 18901.

  1. Bill and Bea were here at the Crossings we moved in and we always recognized how brave Bill was when Bea died. Now they are together and both of them will be missed by us.
