William “Bert” Herbert Sadler III

William “Bert” Herbert Sadler III, born January 6, 1964, in Meridian, Mississippi, passed away on March 15, 2026, at his home in League City, TX, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, faith, and compassion. He was the beloved son of William Herbert Sadler, Jr. and Constance Bennett.

Bert was known for his quick wit and joyful spirit. He had a remarkable ability to make others laugh and feel at ease, lighting up every room he entered. His love for God was central to his life, guiding his actions and the way he cared for others.

He had a special calling to help those in recovery, dedicating substantial time and energy to supporting recovering alcoholics. His kindness, encouragement, and unwavering belief in others made a lasting impact on many lives. Bert truly embodied generosity of spirit and a heart for service.

Above all, Bert cherished his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Lori; his father, William Herbert Sadler, Jr. and wife Barbara; his mother, Constance Bennett and husband Steve; his daughter, Breanna Oros and husband Phillip; his son, Jacob Sadler; his brother, Stuart Sadler and wife Sissy; and his pride and joy, his granddaughter Lyla Oros. He also leaves behind many extended family members and dear friends who will miss him deeply.

Bert will be remembered as a joyful presence, a man of deep faith, and a light in this world. As he often said, “The plan is already in motion, might as well enjoy the ride.”

A memorial service will be held at The Watershed Church (1751 E League City, TX 77573) on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at 2:00 PM.

His legacy of love, laughter, and service will continue to live on in all who knew him.

  7. There is physical pain and emotional pain and both are rough to deal with. Bert mostly handled the physical pain with grace and dignity. He has gone to his spiritual home and is free from all pain and suffering. Lori and their beautiful family are left with managing the agony of loss and ongoing emotional pain. Our prayer for them is to embrace the cross of Jesus and to know that God remains with them, even though it may not feel like it. God bless Lori and the entire Sadler family and friends!

  8. Herb, Brenda and I were so sorry to hear the sad news about Bert. You and your family will continue to be in our thoughts and prayers during these days.
When I read that Bert was born in Meridian, it brought back so many fond memories of my boyhood days in Emelle when Meridian was our Mecca where we went to buy everything from clothes to cars. I assume that you were serving Lisman at that time, a place not far from our boyhood home.
I continue to greatly admire individuals like Bert who out of their own struggles and triumphs reach out to fellow strugglers to genuinely help them triumph in the spirit of Jesus Christ.
Hope our paths might cross again soon!
    Blessings on you,
    Karl
