Alejandro B. Rodriguez
Alejandro B. Rodriguez, age 87, passed away on August 15, 2026 in Dickinson, Texas. He was born on October 2, 1938 in Los Indios, Texas.
Alejandro was a San Benito Greyhound. He also worked for Morgan Co. in Pearland, Texas and later retired from Clear Lake City Water Authority after 36 years of service.
He is preceded in death by his brothers Pedro, Raul and Abel; sisters, Maria Rebecca, Elva, Estella and Josephina and his grandson, Christian Alexander Mata.
He leaves behind to treasure his memory, mother of his children, Connie; daughters, Maria J. Davis (Mary Jane) and Roxanne Hebert (Brian); grandchildren, Amanda Mata (Albert Medrano), Autumn Mata, George Mata (Cynthia Davis), Lydia Mata, Matthew Mata, Christian Hebert (Talitha) and Makayla Samano (Robert); great-grandchildren, Lilliana, Aubrey Jacques, Kaidence Hufhines, Maddilyn Medrano, Easton Medrano, McKinzie Medrano, Mya, David Jr., Amarie Silva, Gabrielle, Hazel Aguilar, Mason, Logan, Brayden, Vargas, Rylie, Scarlet Samano, Alexander and Andrew Hebert; brothers and sisters, Aniceto, Jr., Lupe Rodriguez, Apolinaria Beatty, Mary Longoria and Janie Salinas and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In his honor, there will be a visitation on Thursday, August 20, 2026 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Crowder Funeral Home in Dickinson, Texas. A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 21, 2026 at 11:00am, also at Crowder Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery.
Officiant will be Ethan Munoz.
Serving as pallbearers are George Mata, Matthew Mata, Christian Hebert, Albert Medrano, David Silva and Jerry Hernandez.

Alex was a legendary employee and is deeply missed by his CLCWA family. He was truly one of the best heavy equipment operators we’ve ever had, but his greatest legacy is the knowledge and experience he passed on to others. Many of the skilled employees we have today are better because Alex took the time to teach, mentor, and share what he knew over the years. His impact on CLCWA and the people who had the privilege of working alongside him will not be forgotten.
