Wayne Stephen Piangenti

Wayne Stephen Piangenti, 66, of Santa Fe, Texas passed away March 11, 2018, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 1, 1951, to John and Eula Piangenti in Galveston, Texas and was the oldest of three children. He is survived by his mother and two sisters, Sharon Stacy and Lori Piagenti. Wayne worked for the railroad as a switchman/engineer at the Galveston Wharves. He also had an intense passion for sports which led him to his second career as an official referee for schools throughout Galveston County and South Houston.
Wayne stayed active as a referee up until two years ago when his illness prevented him from working. He was a loyal member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and a 33-year active member of AA. Wayne was preceded in death by his father.
He is also survived by his loving wife of nine years, Jocelyn Piagenti; stepdaughters, Ma Venilda Clara Raro, and Julie Anne Angel Raro; nephew, Jarrod Belcher and his wife Zoe, and his children Emma Kennedy and Elliott Belcher and many friends and relatives.
In his honor a visitation and rosary will be held from 9:00 am-10:00 am on Wednesday, March 14, 2018, with a Funeral Mass at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Hitchcock, Texas.

  2. My heart is broken. I just found out my dear friend of more than fifty years, Wayne, has gone to be with our dear Lord Jesus Christ. I’m sorry that I didn’t know about the farewell service in time. I will never forget his kind, warm heart. I look forward to seeing him in Heaven. It was a blessing to know you. Goodbye, dear one.
