Seymour (Sy) Moishe Camille

Seymour (Sy) Moishe Camille, 73, passed away May 17, 2019.  He was born in the Bronx to Edith and David Camille.  He is predeceased by his parents, sister Roberta Paisley and beloved cousin Shelly.  Seymour leaves behind his wife of 43 years, Sylvia Camille; their daughter, Emily S. Besser and husband, Thomas and their children Camille, Grace and Noble.

In 1974, Seymour met his wife married in 1976. They built a life in Rutherford, NJ.  When Emily and Tommy married, and they chose to live in Pearland, TX, Dad and Mom soon followed.  Sy’s family meant everything to him

Professionally, he specialized in transportation logistics. He loved his clients and selling. He also loved jazz, the NY Yankees, the Giants, sweets and puppies. He cherished his poodles, Tiffany and Coco

Sy was an active member of Temple Beth Tikvah in Southeast Houston.  He was very proud of his religious roots and heritage.

Sy was a man who lived life to the fullest.  He had a great sense of humor and freely spoke his mind.  His friendship crossed all cultural and religious lines with great respect for others and who they were.

There will be a memorial visitation Wednesday, May 29, 2019 from 1-3 p.m. with a memorial service to begin promptly at 3p.m. in the chapel of Crowder Funeral Home in Pearland.

  1. Emily, Tommy and family,
I am sorry for your loss. Fathers are such a big part of our life that losing one creates a big empty hurting hole in our lives. May our God enfold you in his arms and give you peace.
Give the girls a hug for me.

  2. My deepest sympathy to the Camille Family. The loss of a loved one is so hard to bear. Our heavenly Father lovingly assures us “I will really hold on to you with my right hand of righteousness.” (Isa. 41:10) May the God of all comfort be with you at this difficult time. (2 Cor. 1:3,4)
