Peggy Louise Ober Armstrong
Peggy Louise Ober Armstrong, age 80, passed away peacefully in her sleep on November 27, 2023. Peggy was born September 24, 1943 in Galveston, Texas. She was the youngest daughter of Henry John Ober and Virginia Rivas Ober.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Juanita Ober Hicks and Helen Kreger and her brother Clyde Ober. She is survived by her children Michelle Armstrong Boening and her husband Douglas Boening of Manvel, Rick Armstrong and his wife Deanna of Pearland, 10 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren.
Peggy was a lifelong resident of Galveston County and was loved by all who met her. She was a member of Texas City Little Theater; she worked at American National Insurance Company in Galveston her entire career and was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Texas City (now Mem 1). Peggy enjoyed her family and friends, traveling, reading, acting in the theater and being active in her Church.
A celebration of her life will be held Saturday December 9, 2023 at 1:00 PM for all who would like to attend at Mem 1 Church, 2021 29th Street North, Texas City, Texas 77590.
