Paul Sole Palmer
Paul Sole Palmer, age 68, of Friendswood, TX, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2026. He was born on February 10, 1958, to Melvin and Doris Palmer in Salem, Ohio. Paul was a hardworking man who spent many years working as an auto mechanic. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and was a longtime resident of Friendswood for over 40 years. Above all else, Paul loved his family deeply and also had a genuine love for people, truly enjoying connecting with those around him.
Paul had a gift for storytelling, and it was not uncommon to spend hours with him in conversation, listening to his stories and sharing in his laughter. He loved riding his motorcycle and being on the open road with his friends, taking in the country air with nowhere in particular to go. In his final days, he wished he could ride just one more time. He also had a deep passion for carpentry and woodworking, leaving his mark throughout the home he lived in. There were many days when the smell of sawdust filled the air as he worked on his next project, building and creating with his hands.
Paul had a lifelong love of working on cars and could often be found spending hours fixing and repairing vehicles for family and friends. In his younger years, he also enjoyed racing cars and was part of a racing team, with race cars outside the house being a common sight. Paul was always willing to lend a helping hand wherever it was needed and was never afraid to do so, offering help and advice to those around him. He was devoted to helping others through Alcoholics Anonymous, where he served as a sponsor, mentor, and friend to many people throughout the years, supporting those who needed guidance.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Doris Palmer; sister, Regina Martin; brothers, Jack Lite, Joseph Lite, Fred Lite.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Kory Palmer; daughter, Ashley Shannahan (Ryan); his sons, Michael Palmer and Cameron Palmer; grandchildren, Kylie Palmer, Shylah Palmer, Abigail Palmer, Gabriel Shannahan, and Gwendolyn Shannahan; sisters, Teresa Albert, Vicki Vorhess, and Geeni Urban; and brother, James Lite (Eve)
