Patrick Raymond Galloway

Patrick Raymond Galloway, formerly of League City, TX, was called home to be with the Lord on March 27, 2021.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Patricia Ann “Patsy” (Kosler) and Robert Sylman “Bobby” Galloway.  He was born on April 14, 1961 in Texas City, Texas, and graduated from Clear Creek High School.  Following high school, Patrick proudly served in the U.S. Navy for 14 years as a weather analyst-forecaster, where he was stationed at Pearl Harbor and Misawa Japan.  One of his proudest career moments was sailing on the Belleau Woods for two Pacific and Indian Ocean tours.  Patrick always wore his Shellback cap with honor.  Following his naval career, Patrick utilized his love and expertise in weather forecasting for a private company in Houston.  He lived in League City most of his life, and enjoyed the time that he lived in Picayune, MS and in Bryan, TX, where he was as close to Aggieland as possible without being on campus.

Patrick is survived by his loving family: sisters, Debbie Scarcella of Texas City, and Dianne (Rusty) Cornett of Bryan, and his brothers Robert Jr. (Julie) of Keller, Ronnie (Vicki) of Clear Lake, and Frank (Dee) of Dripping Springs; his nieces and nephews that he adored: Chris (Olivia) Scarcella, Bryan Scarcella, Lesliann (Tripp) Vail, Emily (Brad) Motley, Robert III (Samantha), Catherine and Meredith Galloway, Bailey (Ryan) Butler, Taylor Cornett, Alyssa, Sarah, Aaron, and Gabriella Galloway.  He also leaves 13 great-nieces and nephews: Parker Neal, Brylee and Rylynn Butler, Madelyn, Jackson and Sophia Scarcella, Adriana, Skylar and Elijah Vail, Addison, Hannah and Caroline Motley, and Cooper Cornett.  He is also survived by his Aunt Pauline (Frank) McKinney of Littleton, CO, and his Uncle H.C. (Pam) Kosler of Alvin, as well as numerous relatives and friends.

The family extends heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the doctors, nurses and palliative care team at Scott & White Hospital in College Station, for their support, attention and compassionate care over the course of his last illness.

A funeral service in his honor is scheduled on Wednesday, March 31, at Crowder Funeral Home Chapel, Dickinson, Texas.  The service will begin with a rosary at 10:00 a.m.  Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery with military honors.  Live streaming of the service will be available by following the link below.

Lots of great memories of playing football on Waco St and the great group we had in CYO. Pat I am sorry you left us so soon but for you my fellow sailor I wish you “Fair winds and following seas”.
