Patricia Jean Gibson McAllister

Patricia Jean Gibson McAllister, of Nassau Bay, Texas, went to be with her Lord November 29, 2018.  She was born June 13, 1931 in San Antonio, Texas.  Pat attended the University of Texas at Austin where she received her degree and was a member of the Curtain Club and Phi Mu sorority.  She then taught Theater to children in Washington, D.C. and San Antonio, Texas.  She later married her high school sweetheart, Fred McAllister, moved to Nassau Bay, Texas and became active in PEO and Panhellenic.  Pat was very involved with PEO where she served on many committees and as President.  She was also a member of Panhellenic for 44 years.  She held various positions including Historian, Fraternity Education Chairman, Program Chairman, Treasurer, President, and Style Show assistant where she often did the planning and the decorations in the early years.  She enjoyed being creative, which included painting oil paintings and decorating her home.

Pat is preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Fred McAllister, who passed away November 4, 2018, and her parents, Thomas and Albertine Gibson.  She is survived by children Pamela and husband John Fridye, and Todd McAllister and wife Gia; grandchildren Kimberly and McKenna Fridye, Matthew and wife Danielle McAllister, and Michelle McAllister.  Pat was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be greatly missed by family and friends.

A memorial service will be held December 28, 2018 at the Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive.  People will meet at the Administration Office at 1:45pm to be escorted to the chapel for the 2pm service, which is being officiated by Reverend Helen DeLeon of Webster Presbyterian Church.  A reception will follow at 4pm at Webster Presbyterian Church, 201 W. NASA Parkway (NASA Road 1).
