Oscar E. Chapa
Mr. Oscar E. Chapa a 38 year resident of Pearland, TX, passed away in his home with his family by his side on May 2, 2016.
Mr. Chapa was born March 9, 1941 in Refugio, TX.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Luis and Maria Chapa and sister, Evangeline Chapa.
Mr. Chapa leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 55 years, Martha Chapa; sons: Oscar Chapa Jr, Luis Chapa (Shelly); grandchildren; Lesslie Chapa, Matthew Chapa (Andrea) and Amanda Hillard; brother, Robert Chapa.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 11am in the chapel of Crowder Funeral Home in Pearland.
My deepest condolences go to the family of Oscar. Oscar, Ms. Martha and their little dog Chiquita have been wonderful neighbors to me and my family. We hope that your memories of your beloved will forever give you comfort.
Mr. and Mrs. Chapa were some of my earliest clients as I began my veterinary practice in Manvel, Texas, in the 1970’s. Mr. Chapa always brought the animals to the clinic for me to take care of them. I always enjoyed visiting with him. He was in just last week, and I’m glad I got to visit with him one more time. He was definitely one of a kind and I will miss him, as I know everyone will. Rest in peace, Mr. Chapa, and my sincere condolences to everyone in the family.
