Nelda Jean Haschke

Nelda Jean Haschke, 74, of Friendswood, Texas passed away on April 01, 2024, in Webster, TX. Nelda was born on August 26, 1949, in Cuero, Texas to Louis and Anna Kuecker.

In September 1969, she married Gerald “Pat” Haschke, and moved to Alvin, Texas. In May 1975, Gerald and Nelda welcomed their son, John Patrick Haschke. In July 1977, they welcomed their daughter, Rebecca “Becky” Ann Haschke. Although she wore many hats in her professional career with Alvin ISD, Crouch Law Firm, and Alamo Title Company, nothing brought her more joy than her children. Nelda was always involved with them, whether it was at school, scouts, swimming, or band events. She could always be heard cheering for John and Becky. That love and passion continued with her grandsons, August, Ryan, and Holden. She truly adored them. Nelda’s other hobbies included cross-stitch, sewing, cooking, and traveling. She moved to Friendswood in September 2016. After 20 plus years, she retired from Alamo Title Company in Angleton during the summer of 2022. Unfortunately, she became ill a short 8 months into her retirement.

Nelda was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Anna Kuecker; sister LaVerda Oehlke (Darwin); brothers Leebell Kuecker (Audrey), Wilbert Kuecker and Charles Kuecker; grandson Justin Haschke. Nelda is survived by her son John Haschke (Shelley); daughter Rebecca Haschke; brothers Sterling Kuecker (Lilly), Lionel Kuecker (Gladys) and Farrell Kuecker (Gloria); and her grandsons August McCarty, Ryan Haschke and Holden McCarty. She is also survived by numerous other family members and friends. She will be deeply missed by all that knew her.

There will be a Celebration of Life gathering at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any of the charities she supported: St Jude Hospital, American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), or Cuero’s Christmas in the Park.
