Nancy K. Vatalaro

Nancy Kay Vatalaro (nee Elliott), 72 of League City, Texas, went home to be with the Lord on August 23, 2022. She was born on July 23, 1950, in Akron, Ohio to the late Bud and Ruth (nee Upchurch) Elliott.

Always working with her hands, she loved sewing, gardening, cooking, and teaching all three of her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed spending time traveling, being with her family, and making friends in the local garden clubs. Over the years, she volunteered with the Girl Scouts and PTAs in Barberton, Ohio for her daughters and made all three of their wedding dresses, among many other designs. She spent many hours with her grandkids taking them to imaginary worlds, as she loved staying in touch with her inner child.

She leaves behind her three daughters, Melissa (Kevin), Alicia (Bill), Jaclyn (Ryan); seven grandkids, Shawn, Darrin, Haley, Brittany, Jordan, Lorelai, Skylar; three great grandkids, and three sisters.

Per her wishes, cremation has taken place and no service will be held. For those that wish to honor her, memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association ( in her name.

  1. A beautiful woman, mom, wife, grandma, and friend. It’s hardest when we lose the best among us. We need her kind of joy and love in our world. Thank you for sharing her story with all of us. I’m so sorry. The void can never be filled, but the sweet memories and love help carry us on.

  2. A good friend from Jr. High on. A lot of good times in the Kenmore High Band and with the euchre for lunch bunch.
