Mary Ann Miley

Mary Ann Miley, 84, passed away on May 27, 2025 in Houston, Texas. She was born on March 6, 1941 in Ann Arbor, Michigan to Mary and Alexander Parker.
Mary Ann is survived by her sons, Robert Arthur Miley (spouse, Rachel), Michael Scott Miley (spouse, Tracy), and Eric Parker Miley (Spouse, Amy); Grandchildren, Madison Ann Harlan (spouse, Andrew), Derek Dean Miley, Parker Mays Miley, Dylan Scott Miley, Kenneth Donaldson, Bridget Colleen Torres (spouse Nick), and Billy Ryan Day; Great-grandchildren, Bristol Wyatt, Kenley Donaldson, and Salem Torres; brother, Richard Parker; as well as many friends.

Mary Ann attended St. Thomas Catholic School in Ann Arbor, Michigan from elementary through high school. After graduating high school, she became certified as an X-ray technician and worked in the hospital until she became a mother. When her boys were older, she joined the NASA work force in 1979 working in Public Affairs at Johnson Space Center as a tour guide and migrated to the Print shop where she worked as Customer Service until she retired in 2012.

Mary Ann was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend. She was present – present for all games (rain or shine), award assemblies, graduations, birthdays, every holiday, every milestone. Your family became her family, and she genuinely cared about them. She was Grandma Miley and Momma Miley to everyone that she cheered for, cooked for, cared for, encouraged, and inspired.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her father (Alexander), mother (Mary), sister (Kate O’Conner), and son (Richard Alexander Miley).

The family invites everyone to join them for Mary Ann’s Celebration of Life on Saturday, July 5, 2025 from 1:45 pm – 4 pm.
