Marvin Lee Roehl, Sr.

Marvin Lee Roehl, Sr. (95) of Texas City, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2026. He was born in Galveston, Texas on August 21, 1930 to Lou and Starley Roehl.

Marvin graduated from Ball High in Galveston. He was a member of the I.B.E.W. Local #527 and a retired electrician. He was a Master Mason and past Master of Tucker Lodge #297 in Galveston and Texas City Lodge #1118 in Texas City. He was a member of St. John’s United Methodist Church. He was also an avid bowler in Galveston for many years.

Marvin loved to dance and loved life. There was always time for him to take the family to rodeos, camping and regular trips to the beach on the Island. Marvin coached a football team which two of his sons played on.

Marvin is preceded in death by his mother and father, his wife, his first wife Patsy and wife Peggy Roehl; brother Starley Roehl and his wife Mary; twin sister, Mary Lou Verkin and her husband Paul; daughter, Karen Roehl and son, Marvin Roehl, Jr and Step-son Billy Kovacevich.ย  He is survived by his daughter, Peggy Wilson (Roger), sons; Robert Roehl and John Roehl and also 2 Step-children Barbara Kovacevich and Steve Kovacevich; 5 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

Memorial service will be held on 4 April 2026 at 10:30 AM at St. John’s United Methodist Church, 8200 25th Ave. N, Texas City, TX 77591.
