  1. So sorry for your loss. My mom was Helmi Lake Laitinen ( daughter of John Lake, Art’s brother). Judie Miller has been kind enough to keep me posted on Lucille’s life. She was probably a peach of a gal with alot of Finnish vim and vigor to keep her lively. Thinking of you all. Sincerely, cousin Diane and Galen Brouse ( in St. Cloud, MN)

So sorry for your loss. My mom (Diana Martin) have been talking alot about your mom the last few days . My mom remembers your mom fondly and says she was the friendliest mom in the cul-de-sac. We just wish had lived there a little longer. Will be thinking of you from Canada (British Colubia) on Thursday and hopefully get the link to watch as obviously to far to come. Will be thinking of you all fondly

  3. Kevin, Gail, Larry and Beth,
Thinking of all of you. When Paul and I last visited your mom at her house, we had such a great time listening to her funny stories of the past. I so wish we could have spent more time together. Paul always remembers the one time he went fishing with your dad in Minnesota. When Edie and I visited your mom more recently, she kept reverting back to the Finnish language and then we’d ask her to say it in English, which she did. Loved it! We also sang some church songs in Finnish and English that we all knew. She has now joined your dad in eternal life in Heaven. In God’s Peace, Paul and Judie (Hillstrom) Miller

    • Thank you! She loved when you and Paul visited and the visit with you and Edie. I didn’t know Paul and Dad had gone fishing together, that’s great. She loved all of her family so much and all the good times she shared with them!
