Loren Wayne Bush
Loren Wayne Bush, 57, passed away on Sunday, September 15th, 2024, in League City, Texas. He was born on March 5, 1967, in Newfane, New York. Loren is survived by his wife, Melissa (Missie) Kelly; mother, Jacquelyn St. John; son, Gage W. Bush; daughter, Gianna M. Bush; sister, Micki and brother-in-law Terry Chapman; sister, Darcy Bush; grandchild, Gunner W. Bush; his faithful labradors, Sandie and Daisie, along with numerous extended family members and friends. He is predeceased by his father James W. Bush. Loren simply passed too soon.
Loren was a ‘man among men’ with the biggest heart who gave the best hugs with a smile to cherish. He loved his country, always displaying our Nation’s flag, U.S. Navy flag, as well the Buffalo Bills flag.
As a young man, his nation called, and Loren answered by joining the United States Navy, where he served as a Petty Officer and certified Navy Diver, and was stationed at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland for several years. Upon his departure from the Navy, Loren worked in building material sales in Western New York; Lake Mary, Florida; and most recently Houston, Texas. Over 30+ years, he influenced the lumber industry as a General Manager and Vice President of Sales.
Loren was larger than life, always up for the best time, sharing his contagious smile and laughter which would light up a room. He would make everyone happy even on their worst day. His favorite times were spent with his family and friends. He was infamous for sharing his signature recipes, watching the Buffalo Bills or just telling amazing stories, leaving his legacy with each of us.
Missie is the love of his life and the sparkle in his eyes. He always said, “My only regret is I wish I met you sooner, so I could have loved you longer”. They spent 20+ years together, meeting in Hilton Head, South Carolina; they enjoyed many sporting events and special trips to their favorite places, including Nantucket, Massachusetts.
Loren was an avid golfer enjoying numerous days on the course with ‘The Lockport Boys’. Those who knew him the best, referred to Loren as “Bushman”. His role was the Bush Family President, reunion coordinator, creating memories for future generations.
Loren is forever loved by all who knew him, remembered, and is missed. He left an impactful memory on every holiday, every moment, every event, and every hug.
Rest in peace LB “THE DAD” − We love you!
