Lisa Marie Thompson
Lisa Marie Thompson, beloved mother, daughter, and sister passed away on August 13, 2025. Lisa was born January 21, 1969, in Gary, Indiana. Lisa lived a life full of love, compassion, hard work, dedication, and faith in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Lisa’s early years were spent in Sagemont where she graduated from J. Frank Dobie High
School. She went on to her beloved Texas A&M University and earned her Bachelor of Science degree. She then earned her master’s degree in child psychology from the University of Houston at Clear Lake. She took that knowledge and passion for child development to become the Chief counselor for Pearland Independent School district.
Lisa was married in 1994. Her next mission and purpose were to be a mother. That journey began in 1997 with the birth of her first child, Colton. Cade, her second son, was born in 1999. Cambrey, her only daughter, was born in 2005. She was a natural born mother who dedicated her life to her children.
Lisa loved her dogs, the beach, traveling, taking Sunday drives with her dad, TAMU, and all her extended family. Lisa loved her work family at the RCC resale shop in League City. Lisa had a love of music that began at an early age; piano, clarinet, oboe, as well as live music and attending concert venues.
Lisa is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Louise Thompson (nee Goebel), and her father, James Philip Thompson.
Lisa is survived by her brother, Jason, and her three children: Colton Holub, Cade Holub, and Cambrey Holub.
Lisa will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Her radiant smile and timeless beauty will
endure for all those who were enriched by having Lisa in their lives. Lisa’s hope and light will forever shine bright in the promise of eternity with Christ.
Funeral services will be held at St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church on Friday, Oct. 10, at 11am. In lieu of flowers, I ask that you donate to The Resource Crisis Center of Galveston County.
