Lillian Aline Phillips

Lillian Aline Phillips, 95, a resident of Pearland, TX, formerly of Portland, TX, passed away on November 09, 2021 in Pearland at Trinity Oaks, a senior living community.

Aline was born January 31, 1926 in Trinity Texas, where she resided for 30 years.  Aline married AW in May 1949, after a 2-year courtship, and they were happily married for 72 years at the time of her passing.  Over the years, she made a home for her family in Trinity Texas, Potosi Missouri, Greenwood Mississippi, Portland Texas, League City Texas and finally Pearland Texas.  Aline was a devout Christian.  In each family move, there was a priority given to joining and engaging in the local Baptist church for her and her family.   She was also an active parent participant either as a Sunday School teacher, scout leader or willing volunteer.  She enjoyed sewing and crafts and loved a rousing round of Hand and Foot.   She was also AW’s business partner as office manager, accountant and head trouble shooter.   She wore many hats and she wore them well!

Aline is preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Loney McNeely; sisters: Anita Atkins, Wanda McCarty, and Maxine McKee; and brother, Harold McNeely.

She is survived by her husband Albert Wade (AW) Phillips Jr; daughter, Elaine Phillips Schield and husband Bart; sons: Barry Phillips and wife Susan, Stan Phillips and wife Margie, and Dwayne Phillips and wife Pam.    Also surviving her are 9 grandchildren; Josh Phillips, Patricia Phillips Garza, Megan Phillips Ramey, Cassandra Schield Canela, Valerie Phillips Sofia, Chelsy Schield, Jacob Phillips, Mason Phillips, and Sam Phillips; as well as 6 great grandchildren.

Aline will be fondly remembered by family and friends as a godly and loving wife, mother and grandmother.  Her love for the Lord was clear and instilled in everyone she met.

Special thanks go out to the staff at Trinity Oaks of Pearland and to Dr. Maneesh Patel and staff for their loving care and kindness given to Aline over the years.

A service will be held in her honor at 10:30 a.m., on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at the Crowder Funeral Home Chapel in Pearland Texas.   Visitation will precede the service at 10:00 a.m.
