Lee Joseph Warrington

warrington, l 15 picLee Joseph Warrington, 67, of Texas City, Texas passed away on December 7, 2015. He was born on August 14, 1948 in Niles, Michigan to parents Donald and Marie Warrington. He was an active member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church in La Marque serving in the choir and as president of the Legion of Mary. He also was an active volunteer on the Elissa sailing ship, his first love, helping by climbing the masts and all the other deck hand chores and teaching the newbies to do the same. Lee recently retired from Crescent Electric where he had made many good friends. Lee grew up in La Marque and later was a resident of Texas City for the last 15 years. He was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Marie Warrington. He is survived by his brother Keith, and brother Douglas and wife Mary, and niece Catherine Warrington and nephew Wesley Warrington. The family of Mr. Warrington would like to extend special thanks to Father Chacko Puthumayil, the Legion of Mary, and Theresa and Cathy Gately. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. with Rosary at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 1200 Cedar at Laurel, La Marque, Texas. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 11, 2015, also at Queen of Peace Catholic Church with Interment following at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Dickinson. A reception will follow at the Queen of Peace Parish Hall.
Arrangements are under the direction of the James Crowder Funeral Home in La Marque.

  1. I’ll miss Lee’s always smiling, jovial self on Elissa. He was always willing to help anyone, and was such a very good instructor. I’m sure he’s sailing some great seas now.

  2. I am so sorry to hear of Lee’s passing. He was a good friend and co-worker at Crescent Electric. I worked with Lee many years and shared a common faith with him. Great guy, I am lucky to have know him. May God give him eternal rest as he journeys to be with God face to face. Rest in peace old friend.
