  1. I was in Larry and Laurie’s Bible study class. I remember Larry said read your Bible every day. At a Christmas party Laurie was trying to get everyone to stop talking. Larry stood up and told everyone to be quiet. You could tell he loved Laurie so much. Larry was a Christian. He was a fighter and a very strong man. Larry and Laurie brought a bed frame to my house. Little did I know that was the last time I would ever see Larry.

  2. Larry Thomas was my good friend! We loved the Lord Jesus, and Sports, and Horses! I loved listening to him talk about his beloved and cherished wife, Laurie! We both had battles against that Evil Cancer, but he was always there for me, calling to check on my progress against the disease. It was hard to know when he was fighting his battles, as he was so inwardly brave and fearless. We were all Praying for another miracle for him, but, this time, The Lord had another mission for such a devoted Soul! Rest In Peace my good friend, and I hope you get to take a ride on Secretariat or Sea Bisquit up there in Heaven!

  4. So sorry to hear of Larry’s passing! I went to Chofu High School with Larry! Amazing athlete, handsome, and kind. We were neighbors, also. I remember his graciousness and care of his Mom and brother when his father unexpectedly passed. Rest In Peace!

  5. They say that friends are “the family we choose.” A true friend is never truly gone. Their spirit lives on in the memories of those whom lives they touched.
Larry Dean Thomas was part of the family I chose. Larry was a lifelong close friend.
Friendship is a mysterious bond. Its hard to explain in words the random circumstances and alchemy that creates lasting friendships. All I know is when your in the presence of close friends like Larry, your in a good place and you know it.
Larry lived life to the fullest. He had a keen sense of adventure, of right and wrong, and didn’t suffer fools lightly. He was also never fearful of defending the weaker among us.
They say in life, its NOT the things you do you regret, its the things you DID NOT do! In my estimation, Larry departed this world with NO REGRETS. He had a “good run” (as the saying goes in Rugby). We enjoyed his company immensely.
The good times shared with all of us, will be forever imbedded in our memories.
    Safe Travels Brother….
