Joseph “Joey” Drake Castro

Joseph “Joey” Drake Castro, 44, a resident of Alvin, TX passed away May 30, 2023. Joey was born in Webster, Texas on December 13, 1978. He graduated from J. Frank Dobie High School in 1997. He served with the League City Police Department as a Patrol Officer and then a Detective from 2001-2011. He was selected to attend the United States Marshals Service Academy in March 2011. Joey served as a Deputy US Marshal from 2011 until his death. He attended First United Methodist Church in Friendswood, TX.

Joey leaves behind his beautiful wife of 16 years, Rachel Castro; and their two children, daughter Vivienne Castro; son, Garrett Castro. Parents: Frank and Debbie Castro, Jr.

Father-in-law and mother-in-law: Jim and Karen Little; Brothers: Daniel Castro, wife Joanne; Toby Castro, partner Peter Newman; Sister-in-law: Christina Lopez; Brother-in- law: John Little, wife Courtney. Nephews and nieces: Coby Castro, Cameron Castro, Braeden Lopez, Briana Hernandez, Julian Macias, Ethan Macias, Raziel Macias, Nathaniel Castro, Daniel Castro, Henry Little, and Rowan Little. He is preceded in death by his brother, Tim Castro.

Services will be held 11:00 A.M Thursday, June 8, 2023 at Grace Community Church, 14505 Gulf Fwy Houston, TX 77034.  Family requests that memorial contributions be made to: U. S. Marshals Survivors Benefit Fund.
