Joan Lorraine Bilir, was born September 3, 1932 in Canada to Gordon and Violet Osborne and passed away February 6, 2017. She has been a resident of Westbury subdivision, Houston, TX since 1964 and worked for Fisher Scientific Company, Jewish Community Center and Phillip’s Law Firm. She volunteered and was a member of many organizations: Gulf Area Amateur Athletic Union, Commemorative Air Force, Colonel’s Ladies, Texas Assn. of Single Sailors, Space City Ski Club and also a member of the Houston Police Department Citizens Patrol.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Robert March; daughter Brenda Castro; son Bill Gilmore.

Mrs. Bilir leaves behind her husband of 10 years, Ergun Bilir; son, Russell March, wife, Joyce; grandchildren: Jenny Morrison, husband, Chris and Jillian Jeffers; great grandchildren: Madi Morrison, Mayson Morrison and Max Morrison; step children: Lale Bilir, Sule Bilir, Nesli Teslo, Betin Santos, husband, Alfonso and Sevin Bilir; daughter in law Colleen Gilmore; grandchildren Jenny Gilmore, Jamie Gilmore, Heather Gilmore and husband, Bryan and great grandchild Hailey.

A visitation will be held at 2pm Saturday, February 11, 2017 followed by a 3pm memorial service at Crowder Funeral Home in Pearland 2422 Broadway Pearland, TX 77581.
