  3. I met the Smistad family during the summer of 1978. I worked with her sons John & Eric and became fast friends. I then met Ole and Jane and from that summer on, Mrs. Smistad became “mom”. She was always a joy to be around and was so much fun to make her laugh. She was a beautiful individual who loved her family and accepted me in as an “adopted” son. God bless the Smistad family for their loss but I also want to thank God for giving me the opportunity to know this beautiful person. Prayers to the Smistad family. 🙏🏻

  4. I am Jane’s first cousin. She was born to Earnest Anderson and I was born in March of the same year 1934 to his younger brother Elmer Anderson. She grew up in Spokane and I grew up in Moscow, so we seldom got together, but we were the youngest of all the cousins and always enjoyed each other’s company when we were together at family gatherings. I am glad I got to see her and Ole at the Seatac airport several years ago when we were in Seattle. I moved from California a couple of years ago and am now living with my daughter Marilyn and her two sons Bryan and Justin in Silver Springs Maryland. God bless all those affected by Jane’s passing.
