James Pacetti

James Edward Pacetti, 78, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2021 at his home in Houston, Texas. He was surrounded with loved ones and his two cats. Jim was born on September 15, 1942 in New Orleans, Louisiana. When his nation called, he answered by joining the United States Navy. He was a Radarman 1st class during the Vietnam Conflict Era. Jim started his career in Marine Electronics and Offshore Satellite Communications. He met his wife Gail while working at Motorola. He had a passion for hunting, fishing, boating and cooking with family. He was known for his world famous ‘Pacetti spaghetti’ and loved history & sci-fi, but most of all loved traveling and spending time with his family & friends.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents, James Davis & Emily Louise Pacetti and Sister & brother-in-law Dolores & John Lytle. He is survived by: his wife Gail Pacetti, daughter Emily Pacetti, and son Adam Pacetti. He is also survived by his nieces & nephews: Wanda & husband Charles Dudley, Jonathan & wife Bobbie Heaney, John and Nola, Jim, Daniel, & David Price, Terri & husband Tom Hernandez, Gail & husband Jay Hickman, Elowen & Paul, Tommy Hernandez, Mathew & wife Emily Hernandez, Drew & wife Terri Lytle, Dustin & wife Lauren Lytle, and Amber Lytle. Jim loved and was loved by his Sister in- laws Debbie Slack (Ken), Stacey Hughes, and their children Dan, Ryan, Brandon and Hailey.
A memorial service in Jim’s honor will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Crowder Funeral Home, 111 E. Medical Ct. Blvd. Webster, Texas 77598. Gathering will begin at 1pm with the service beginning at 2pm. Jim loved his family and friends and will be truly missed by all that knew him. Jim’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the Absolute Hospice Care Team & Carla from Synergy Home Care for the care and love they provided him and his family.

  2. Jim, we knew him as a Patriot, good husband, father and friend. We enjoyed many evenings at the Pacetti home sharing friendship, love and great food prepared by Jim.   5. Though I only met Jim through Gail, I knew he was fine man. My heart goes out to Gail, Emily and Adam as I know they will have a hurting hurt missing Jim, but I also know that God will heal the hurt the way only God can, and he will place his Holy Angles around Gail, Emily and Adam to comfort them and give them strength.   6. RIP Jim. I met the Pacetti family when my son, Joseph (RIP) and Adam became friends while attending Clear Lake Inter School. Joseph spent time at the Pacetti home. Jim and Gail always welcomed him.Jim was a good guy. Fair Winds and Following Seas, Jim.

  7. As a youth, I spent many years at the Pacetti house after becoming friends with Adam. I have many fond memories of his Father, Jim, who always had something clever or funny to say when I was around. Lots of times we talked about hunting and fishing. I remember the spagetti nights. Heartfelt and sincere condolences to the Pacetti Family.
