James Michael Bader

James Michael Bader, of Kemah, passed away on Monday, October 18, 2021 in Nassau Bay, Texas at the age of 65. He was born February 19, 1956 in Orville, Ohio to John Edward Bader and Dorothy Cummings.

Jim owned a successful commercial contracting business and has building accomplishments all over Texas and Louisiana. He loved racing cars and riding his Harley and would always be seen with his dog Lucy.

James had a great passion of boating. He grew up living near a lake and had his first boat at an early age. He continued to own a boat throughout his life and enjoyed fishing. In recent years he spent many hours of pleasure and relaxation sitting on the shoreline or a boat dock watching all of the activities and bringing back memories of his own time on the water. He loved his family dearly and loved spending time with them. Throughout his life Jim was always there for any of his friends and would do just about anything for them.

Jim is survived by his daughter Shannon Bader and husband Jonathon Stark, granddaughter Lila Bader, sister Linda Campbell, brother and his wife John and Kathy Bader and niece Autumn Daniels.

  4. Jim Bader was the most giving and caring person I’ve ever met. He cared so much about his family and friends and always helped when someone was in in need. His expression, “Because I can” wasn’t exactly right… it’s also because he would and it’s because he did. I have incredible memories of Jim and grieve this loss so much. My condolences and prayers for his family. He loved you!
