James Matthew Graves, 61, of San Leon, TX passed away at his home on February 15, 2021.  Mr. Graves was born on March 29, 1959 to Arvin and Bettie Graves in New Orleans, LA.  James was raised in the Baptist Faith and served his country in the United States Army.  He has lived in San Leon for the past fifteen years and is formerly of Merryville, LA.  Mr. Graves worked as a diesel mechanic for the Metropolitan Transit Authority in Houston for many years.

James is preceded in death by his parents Arvin and Bettie Graves.  He is survived by his sisters Joyce Corbell, Deborah Dean and Victoria Graves and her husband Zach Pritchett; his oldest niece Jennifer Dominguez and her husband JR., along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins that all loved him dearly. He was a kind soul with a huge heart.  He will be greatly missed.
