Gwendolyn McNeely went home to receive her heavenly reward on June 5, 2025 in League City, Tx.

On October 10, 1933, she was born in Cleveland, Tx to Charles and Bernice Sweet. At 18 years old, she married Thomas Gerald McNeely on November 11, 1951 in Cleveland, Tx. The Lord called them to ministry in 1952. Gwendolyn gave birth to her first child Sharla on September 30, 1952. On June 27, 1958, she gave birth to her second child Thomas “Bubba” Jr, which we all know as Bubba.

Relocating with her family from Cleveland to Dallas in 1964, and from Dallas to Houston in 1977. Gwendolyn was a Pastors wife, a Bishops wife, leader, role model, mentor, confidant, and a loving friend to all. She was also lovingly known as “Granny” by so many people.

Gwendolyn was preceded in death by her husband T.G. McNeely, her daughter Sharla Creekmore, father Charles Sweet, mother Bernice sweet, sister Grace Mitchell, brother Benny Sweet and brother Rob Sweet.

She is survived by her son Bubba McNeely; Grandson Shane Creekmore and wife, Shareen Creekmore, Grandson Ashly Creekmore; Great-Grandchildren Kaylee Newton and husband, Stephen Newton, Kaleb Creekmore, Avari Delgado and husband, Julian Delgado, Tori Creekmore, and Andee Creekmore; Son-In-Law Terry Creekmore; Great-Great-Grandson Jettson Delgado who will be making  his appearance soon, and a host of family and friends.
