Grace Marie Pawlowski

Grace Marie Pawlowski, 11/11/1931 – 5/8/2017
Grace was born in Galveston, Texas on November 11, 1931 to John and Marie Sorrentino at home. She had one older sister Marlene and one older brother John, and 6 years later she had a younger brother Vincent.
Grace was a talented child that sang beautifully and organized talent shows under the high raised house where her Daddy had built her a stage and her Mommie gave old sheets for a curtain. They entertained family, friends and neighbors, regularly. As Grace grew up she sang at Menard Park and as a young woman in her thirties she sang at local hotels and clubs.
She married Frank N. Pawlowski at the tender age of fifteen; out of this union came two beautiful daughters; Diana Jean and Shelly Renae.
Grace and Frank had a bittersweet love story that lasted 54 years. Grace and Frank vowed on their wedding day, October 30, 1946 that if anything ever happened – divorce or death neither would ever remarry. Both Grace and Frank kept their pledge to each other until death.
Grace was a long time member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church in LaMarque and resided in LaMarque , sixty one years.
Grace was preceded in death by her Father and Mother and her two older siblings and her three best friends; Lila John Hurst, Annie Slattery and Elnora Boyd.
Grace is survived by both daughters, Diana Howard, and Shelly Green and husband, Randy.
Grace has four grandchildren; Gina Kazmouz and husband Michael, Cody Green and wife Monique, Ryandi Green and Frank Green.
Grace has one great granddaughter, MiKayla Grace Kazmouz.
Grace has one surviving brother, Vincent Sorrentino of Galveston and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held Monday, May 15th, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. in the Crowder Funeral Home Chapel, in Dickinson, Texas. Services will be performed on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at 10:00 a.m.

  1. To the Family. SO sorry for your loss. Hope you will be comforted in knowing that Grace has the prospect of being resurrected (in the flesh) to Paradise Earth as God has promised. The vast majority will have everlasting life here on earth. God’s Kingdom will do this under the Rulership of Jesus Christ. READ John 5:28, 29, Job 14:14, 15 and Revelation 21:2-4

  2. Dear Shelley and Diana, please accept my sincere condolences. Grace was a beautiful lady and a gracious hostess. I’ll always have fond memories of my mother and father (Frank and Ends Mae) visiting with your mom and Frank in LaMarque when we were kids. Those were the best of times.
