Glenn Russell Luther, 65, of Texas City, died at his home on Friday, September 3, 2021.  He was born July 7, 1956, in Dayton, Ohio to Fred Luther Sr., and Myla (Rutrough) Luther, who preceded him in death.  He was also preceded in death by a sister Donna Simko, and brother Fred Luther Jr.

He is survived by his wife of forty years Janice Luther of the home, and a daughter Kelly Bills (David) of Cleveland, Texas, and sons Darrell Luther and Duane Luther (Julie) of La Marque, Texas.  In addition, he leaves six grandchildren, Jazmine Garrett, Alexander Carswell, Chase Luther, Devin Luther, Kaitlyn Holcomb, and Trevor Luther, and one great-great-grandchild Myles Sumpter.  He is also survived by one brother, Jerry Luther of Garland, TX.

Glenn pursued a variety of career paths and loved working with his hands and crafting in wood.  He worked with the water department of Texas City, installed roofing for a time, did carpentry, did building maintenance for several apartment complexes, and worked in commercial security.  He was one to always jump up to give someone a hand if needed.  He enjoyed camping and spending time with his family.

The family has entrusted his service to the Crowder Funeral Home, 401 Texas Ave., La Marque, Texas 77568.  Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 pm Tuesday, September 14, 2021, with the service to follow at 2:00 pm.
