George William Laitkep, 84, a resident of Pearland, TX formerly of Houston, TX, passed away peacefully October 9, 2022, Pearland, TX. George was born in East Bernard, TX on February 11, 1938. He served his country in the U.S. Army. George retired from John Crane in Houston after 38 years of service. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus.

He enjoyed cooking and listening to music. He also loved sports, with his favorite team being the Houston Cougars. George was the ultimate family man. He never missed an opportunity to spend time with his sons and brothers.

He is survived by his sons: George Travis, Taylor John-Shelton, and Landon Lee; brothers Johnny, Patrick and wife Clara, and Anthony and wife Jeanette.  He is also survived by his sister-in-laws Gertrude and Linda and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

George is preceded in death by his son, Gregory Laitkep, and parents John and Marie Laitkep; his brothers Ernest, Frankie, Bernard, Patrick, Michael and sister Mary Ann.
