  6. Karen and Mike,
My heart goes out to you for the loss of your beloved father. Regardless of his illness, for his family and loved ones, one is never truly prepared for that hard reality when it comes.

Though I never met him, just reading about him, it’s clear that he will be sorely missed by many. It’s a clear sign of a life well lived, and a man well loved. And that he will surely have a special new home above.

My thoughts and prayers will be with you and your family during the months ahead.

  9. George sponsored me at my adult confirmation at St. Mary of the Expectation Church through our beloved late Monsignor Eugene Cargill. George liked to refer to himself as my Godfather. I worked with George for years helping out with the church bazaar trimming brisket and frying chickens with our late friend Nick Delisandri. We also boiled potatoes along with a crew for the potato salad wife Margaret prepared with Catherine and friends.

I enjoyed our many conversations, usually involving NFL football. George impressed me with his knowledge of little known factoids about individual players.

I will miss you, George. May your spirit and soul never suffer and experience God’s glory forever. Through our Lord Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit. I will pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy with this petition.

My sincere condolences to all family and friends.
