  7. Such a giving, thoughtful, funny & Christ like man. I will always remember his smile and gracious welcome. He was a great Santa at Mt Carmel Academy, back in the early days of MCA. Always willing to do whatever it took to help his beloved wife.
Mrs Giacchino, I will keep you in my prayers. Our Lady of Mt Carmel is with you. She is by your side and will help you each moment. I can ONLY imagine what WONDERFUL, MIRACULOUS things will happen with this angel of a man who is now beside our loving Father in Heaven!

  10. Mr (and Mrs) G were my 2nd parents growing up 💙💝 Mrs G was my Campfire leader, Mr. G was always by her side and Lisa has been the best friend ANY great girl could ever ask for. The G’s have loved me often (and cursed me, when I deserved it) and I have never loved a family as much as I love mine, but this Giacchino family comes as close as I’ve ever known ❤️
Thank you George and Maureen for the love that y’all have shown SOOOO many of us over the years. What a beautiful family, what a huge loss for us, what an amazing Angel we have gained!

  11. Next to my parents, George and Maureen were the best example of a Christian marriage I have known. I learned so much from you both when we started Mount Carmel Academy in 2008. Working with you both was wonderful, although you both kept up the pressure to do it right and not get “dinged” for needless things. I know you will miss him greatly. You are in our prayers now and always have been since we left the academy in 2012. The kids at MCA are all very blessed to have your experience and leadership getting them through high school and the pandemic.
Lots of love to your whole family.

  14. George was beyond special. He was a hero in every sense of the word. I treasure our association. There will always be a place in my heart that George occupied. Irreplaceable is the least I can say. A servant of God, and a friend extraordinaire. Dedicated, driven, humble, and savvy. Personable, persuasive, and intelligent. Not one to be trifled with, but with a heart of gold. And a good dancer to boot! George, I will miss you for a long, long time. Lord willing, we will meet again.

  18. George was the glue of our neighborhood block. He always made an effort to speak to everyone outside, with the help of precious Sweet Pea of course. He made us feel welcomed, loved, secure, and that we were in a safe place to raise our family. We enjoyed our casual conversations as he often boasted about his grandchildren and delighted in the anticipation of the newest addition. Sometimes we laughed and sometimes we left feeling like we learned a life lesson. Our girls adored George and we know he adored them. George was a part of our family more than he knew and he will be dearly missed by ALL of us. We take comfort knowing he was a man of the Lord and is with our Heavenly Father.

We pray God’s comfort over the family.

    With Love,

  19. This was such terrible news. I’ve worked with Mr Giacchino for over 10 years. He was the father of our work family. I knew he would always take care of things, get what we needed at school, and help me with anything. I remember being a little scared of him at first because he was so frank and gruff. I came to realize he was a very caring warm hearted man with a great sense of humor. He also loved and supported cooking club and sometimes left recipes in my box for us to try. I will miss Mr G so much. Sending love and prayers for peace of heart and mind in this difficult time.
