Edward John Kukla
Edward J. Kukla, 87 years old, passed away peacefully January 21, 2019. Dancing through life, he was born in Chicago to Kazimir and Apolonia. He was married to his wife, Ruth, for a blessed 66 years. They had three children, Therese (Dave), James (Lori), and E.J. Guy (Gina). He has ten grandchildren, Nathan, Breanne, Krysta, Casey, twins Tymon and Connor, Derek, twins McKenna and Jordyn, and Alyssa. Edward was maybe the most enthusiastic, happy, and proud grandfather, attending all of their activities. He is a Korean War Veteran, a 38-year lineman for Common Wealth Edison, IBEW Union Officer, and American Legion Commander and member, holding many offices of Post 867 Mundelein, Illinois, for 65 years. He was an avid Chicago Bears and Cubs fan, finally celebrating a World Series Championship in 2016. He retired to travel for pleasure and experienced many world adventures. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. The funeral mass will be Saturday, January 26 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, Nassau Bay, Texas. Please no flowers.
