My condolences to the family and friends, my brother Earnest Jr and the boys, Byrun, Shawn & Prince, nothing but love! You had an awesome father, nothing but fond memories of picking us up when we got stranded, nothing but love from your Pops! He was a great man with nothing but love for his family and friends! I am grateful to have been able to get to know him and how he treated me when we had the opportunity to see each other! May God walk with him and the family always!
Our condolences to the Perkins Family. My heart and prayers are with you. I pray God’s peace is with you also.
Perk was a shift lead while I learned Hydro… always very composed. In fact the only time I saw him get rattled was during a hydrogen leak when there was trouble finding the leak point. He led his shift with professionalism, even when those jokers were pulling crazy pranks on nights!!! We made it through 9/11 and then the longest Turnaround ever seen in the plant. Rest in Peace, Perk. Thank you for our time together in Hydrocarbons! Lots of love and respect being sent to your family ❤️
I first met Earnest in 1970 when I worked at Giles VW in Texas City. At the time I had no Idea that we would once again work together. When I walked into the start up class at Monsanto Chocolate Bayou in 1975, there was Earnest. We both were assigned to the Hydrocarbons Unit, where we spent many hours. Always a stand up guy and I always enjoyed working with him. Rest in Peace my friend.
