Dr. Qishuang Sun passed away on August 23, 2021 in Houston, TX at the age of 85. Qishuang was born September 20, 1935 in Qingdao, China to Weihan Sun and Xianglan Li. He received his PhD in metallurgy and materials science in 1962. Dr. Sun later worked as General Engineer in the field of Environment in Shandong Province, China. In 2008, Dr. Sun moved from China to Houston.

His kindness and compassion will be sorely missed.

Dr. Sun is survived by his wife, Meie Bao. His sons, Qin Sun and wife Xuewei Chen of Texas; and Haoran Sun and wife Xiaorong Ma of California. He is also survived by a granddaughter, Cynthia Mary Sun; and three grandsons, Stanley Miles Sun, Michael Sun and Steve Sun.

There will be a private viewing held for Dr. Sun to celebrate his life at Crowder Funeral Home on August 27, 2021.
