Clarence “Clancy” Oren Gordon
Clarence “Clancy” Oren Gordon, age 81, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2026, surrounded by his family. He was born on March 9, 1945, in Ludowici, Georgia, to Plynie and Myrtle Gordon.
For 51 years, Clancy called Friendswood, Texas, home. He was a devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend who loved his family deeply and never met a stranger. He proudly served his country as an Army medic during the Vietnam War.
In 1979, Clancy founded the family business, something he poured his heart into for many years. Through hard work, dedication, and the relationships he built along the way, the business became more than just work — it became part of the legacy he left behind. He was deeply proud of what he built, but even more proud of the people he shared it with.
Clancy will be remembered for his kindness, strong work ethic, and the way he showed up for the people he loved. Whether through his work, his friendships, or time spent with family, he left a lasting impact on so many and will be deeply missed.
Clancy was preceded in death by his parents, Plynie and Myrtle Gordon, and his grandchildren, Cole Gordon and Amber Gordon.
He is survived by his daughter, Misty Dudley and her husband, David; his sons, Scott Gordon and his wife, Heather, and Dusty Gordon; his sisters, Novadine Saunders and her husband, David, and Madras Anthony and her husband, Denny; his brother, Kenneth Gordon and his wife, Deborah; his grandchildren, Austin Dudley and his wife, Nicolle, Danielle Dudley, and Jack Dudley; and his great-grandchildren, Jonah Gordon, Kaylee Dudley, and Kade Dudley.
A visitation honoring Clancy’s life will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., followed by a memorial service at 10:00 a.m. at Crowder Funeral Home in Pearland, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made in Clancy’s memory to the Cole Gordon Helping Hand Foundation.
