Christina “Christy” Marie Cavuoti

In Loving Memory of Christina “Christy” Marie Cavuoti, 48, of Pearland, Texas, who passed away on April 30th, 2026. She was born in Daytona, Florida, on September 6th, 1977, to John T. Cavuoti Sr. and Connie A. Estep. Christy was a longtime resident of Pearland for 22 years. She attended St. Helen Catholic Church.

Christina, known affectionately as “Christy,” was a rare and unique gem. With a personality that knew no strangers—only friends she hadn’t met yet—people were naturally drawn to her warm and loving heart. Those who knew her from the beginning understood the incredible depth of her strength. Christy’s life was filled with melody. She was a master of music trivia, rarely encountering a song she couldn’t identify by title, artist, and every single lyric. Beyond her love for music was a profound devotion to animals. While she adored her many dogs—especially her faithful Loki—her greatest passion was horses. This love began in early childhood; her first stuffed horse, “Brownie,” was such a constant companion that he even accompanied her into surgery, complete with his own tiny mask. In her final hours, she made sure her favorite horse-themed blanket remained with her, a symbol of the comfort it brought her throughout her life.

As the eldest sibling, Christy shared a deep and unique bond with each of her younger sisters and brothers. She had a gift for leaving a lasting impression on everyone she encountered; to mention her name was to evoke a story of kindness. As her doctor so aptly put it, “You are a gem, Christy.” We have been profoundly blessed to share in her journey. Christy’s journey..

Christy is survived by her parents, Connie Haviland (David) and John T. Cavuoti Sr., and her siblings, Catherine Loehr and John Cavuoti II (Danielle). Her stepsiblings, Sarah Alvarado and William Haviland.  Her uncles, Larry Estep (Patricia) and Don Estep (Silvia) and Terry Zahner. Her aunts, Roberta M. Cavuoti Chus and Helenea M. Dennis (Stephen). She is also survived by her three nephews: Caden and Chance Loehr and Ethan  Alvarado; and many cousins throughout the country.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Donald Estep, Sr. and Katherine Estep, John J Cavuoti and Madeline C Cavuoti, uncles, Ronald Zahner, Howard Estep, and Thomas Cavuoti.

In lieu of flowers, living plants for the memorial garden we are setting up or memorial donations may be made to the Epilepsy Foundation of Texas.
