Charles Spencer Chapman, of League City, passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2017 in Galveston, Texas at the age of 57. He was born on June 30, 1960 in Plattsburgh, New York to Jack A. Chapman and Rose M. LaBarre. Charlie spent 22 years with the New York State Police Department and moved to Texas in 2005 with his family. Charlie was a loving husband, father, family member and friend. He was an active member in the Knights of Columbus at St. Mary Catholic Church as Deputy Grand Knight. He is survived by his wife Catherine, son Peter F. Chapman, daughters Danielle E. Chapman, Julia S. Chapman, sisters Cindy Wieszczynski, Bonnie Riccardi and husband Pat, Tina White and husband Steve, mother and father-in-law Jim and Sharon Veley, sister-in-laws Lucinda Weyer and husband Harry, Carolin Miller, Colleen Maxwell and husband Derek, Chris Regan and many loving nieces, nephews, family and friends. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at 9:30am with a Mass at 10:00am at St. Mary Catholic Church, 1612 East Walker, League City, Texas 77573 with Father Howard Drabek officiating.
