Carroll “Ben” Gallion

Carroll “Ben” Gallion, 76 of Texas City passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2024 in Texas City.  He was born on October 11, 1947 to Oather and Minnie Gallion in Texas City, Texas.

Ben was a veteran in the US Army serving in Vietnam and received a Bronze Star; he was a member of The First Church of God in Texas City.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Oather Clarence Gallion, Jr. Ben is survived by his sisters; Margaret Christian (Dennis) and Dorothy Sirois, niece Telisia Sanders, nephews; Matt Sanders, Brian Sirois and James Oather Gallion, several cousins and numerous friends at McDonalds in Texas City and the Valero Corner Store at Loop 197 and Logan Street in Texas City.

A visitation will be on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 from 5:00pm – 8:00pm at the Crowder Funeral Home in La Marque. Funeral Service will be at 10:00am on Thursday, March 7, 2024 at The First Church of God Church in Texas City with Johnny Angel officiating.  A burial will be at Houston National Cemetery on Friday, March 8, 2024 at 9:15am.

  1. Mr. Ben, I miss you already. You were an awesome friend and neighbor to have. I appreciate our special friendship over the last 6-7 years. Truly thankful for you being a role model grandfather figure in my life. Thank you for your service for our country. I’m praying for you to watch over your sisters and all of your friends including me. We love you. I know you are smiling down from heaven. You will never be forgotten. <3
