Bobbie Laurette Mitchell
Bobbie Laurette Mitchell passed away peacefully last month in Houston, TX after a long and grueling battle with Alzheimer’s.
Born in Jasper, Mississippi, Bobbie moved frequently as a military and airline spouse. She spent notable stretches in Plantation, FL, Medina, OH, Parker, CO, and could often be found swinging on the front porch of “the cabin” in the mountains of Blairsville, GA. Bobbie was warm, vivacious, and more than a tad mischievous. She was a prolific practical joker, excelled at every hobby she ever picked up (tennis, swing dance, clarinet, Super Mario etc.) and beloved by children and animals everywhere.
She is survived by all her siblings (Louise, JD, Mike and Ron), her loving daughters (Dianna and Donna), grandchildren (Johnathan, Samantha, Courtney, and Blake), and great-grandsons (Simon, Roy, Benedict, and Dean).
Interment will be private in Moss Point, MS. The family welcomes all to a service at 11am on June 13, 2026, to be held at St Christopher Episcopal Church in League City, TX.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at the following link:
