Bill Stevens

Bill Stevens, 84, of Dickinson, Texas, passed away January 11, 2018, in Webster surrounded by his family.  Bill was born April 27, 1933, to Annie Mae Hernandez.  He worked as a rice farmer for Evans Farms and Green Farms.  Bill was a devoted husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather.  He was preceded in death by his mother and brother-in-law Tony Juarez.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Margarita Stevens, daughter Patricia Ann Ojeda and husband Joe; sons, William J. Stevens, Jr., and wife Louisa, and David Stevens and wife Molly; sisters Clara Juarez, Shirley Lopez and husband Frank, Janie Faircloth, and Willie Mae Hernandez; grandchildren Naomi (Jason Sr.) Alvarado, Bobby Galvan, William (Brittanie Pate) Stevens, Christopher Stevens, Michael (Crystal) Stevens, Brian (Michelle) Stevens; ten great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

A visitation in his honor will be held 5:00 – 8:00, Tuesday, January 16, 2018, with funeral services 10:00 am, Friday, January 19, 2018, at Crowder Funeral Home, Dickinson, TX,  both at Crowder Funeral Home Dickinson. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery, Dickinson.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are William Stevens, Christopher Stevens, Michael Stevens, Brian Stevens, Bobby Galvan, and Brendan Alvarado.  Honorary pallbearers are Jason Alvarado, Jr., Jacob Alvarado, Jakobe Stevens, Jordan Stevens, Joel Galvan, Jacob Alvarado, Jr.

  3. Margret, David, Billy & Tricia, I am so sad to hear of the passing of your husband/father. I know how hard this is and weighs heavy in your hearts. No one can ease the pain and only time gently eases the heartache… Its been 4 years since the passing my Dad and it feels like yesterday! I only find comfort knowing he’s not suffering or struggling any more..he’s in the most peaceful, beautiful place ever..”Heaven” and is an angel along with our other loved ones watching over us everyday and on many occasions you will feel his presences, you will know when it happens..Its very peaceful!!
