Anna Laura Martinez

Anna Laura Martinez, daughter of Rogerio and Gloria G. Villarreal, passed away on January 30, 2023, in Webster, Texas. She was 72.  Anna was born in Port Isabel, Texas on October 22, 1950.   She is survived by: her husband, Baldemar González Martínez; daughters, Candace Ann Enriquez and Deena Laura Rodriguez (Jason); sisters, Dora Brown (Joe) and Diana Helms (Sergio); brothers, Rogerio “Roger” Villarreal (Carmen), Larry Villarreal (Dee), Robert Villarreal and Sergio Villarreal (Leslie); grandson, Roman Enriquez; and numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

Anna Laura had a passion for living life without regret. She had great pride in her family, supported all of their endeavors and celebrated each success. She was an animal-lover. She was happy when animals were around, advocated for them, and even fed “God’s critters” who knew to stop at her house.  She found happiness in the simple things in life like a beautiful rainstorm or spending a cozy night at home with her family.  She studied Interior Design and had an enviable talent of taking the ordinary to extraordinary.  Her style was beautiful, unique, and stood out above the rest.  Above all, Anna Laura loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She grew up serving the Lord and passed down her passion for Jesus to her two loving daughters.
